Brendan Sharkey has a long career as a Registered Nurse, training and working in UK Emergency Departments as well as New Zealand, where he worked as a Stroke Nurse Specialist.

Brendan brings extensive healthcare leadership experience to his role at 4Health, having most recently managed the rehabilitation centre at Jersey General Hospital. Throughout his career, he has found great fulfilment in supporting individuals and their families through often challenging and emotional periods, helping them navigate their healthcare journeys with compassion and understanding.

A significant highlight of his career was contributing to Jersey’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Working during such an unprecedented and demanding time further strengthened his commitment to delivering high-quality care and supporting both patients and colleagues under pressure.

Since joining the 4Health family earlier this year, Brendan has embraced the opportunity to provide personalised, community-based care. He is passionate about helping clients remain in their own homes, maintain their independence, and enjoy the highest possible quality of life. He is proud to be part of a welcoming, caring, and compassionate team dedicated to making a positive difference within the community.

Originally from Ireland, Brendan is a proud father to two children, Erin and Cameron. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, particularly sharing their love of rock climbing and outdoor activities.
